  • Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-Bombay) to develop India's first quantum diamond microchip imager.
  • Over the next two years, TCS experts will work with Dr. Kasturi Saha from IIT-Bombay to create this innovative tool.
  • The quantum diamond microchip imager will enhance precision in examining semiconductor chips, reduce chip failures, and improve the energy efficiency of electronic devices.
  • Using Nitrogen-Vacancy (NV) centers in diamonds, the tool will map semiconductor chips non-invasively, benefiting industries like communications, computing, healthcare, military systems, transportation, and clean energy.
