Tamil writer Sivashankari has been selected for the 'Viswambhara' Dr. C Narayana Reddy National Literary Award-2024, recognizing her significant contributions to literature, which includes a prize of Rs. 5 lakh, a memento, and a shawl.
The award will be presented on July 29, during Dr. C. Narayana Reddy’s 93rd birth anniversary celebrations in Hyderabad, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Culture Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, and Government whip Adi Srinivas attending as distinguished guests.
Sivashankari, based in Chennai, has authored an extensive body of work including 36 novels, 48 mini-novels, 150 stories, and other literary pieces, making her a significant figure in Tamil literature.
