  • The 16th Bird Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu is situated on 5,151.60 acres in Vanur and Marakkanam taluks.
  • The sanctuary is located on the east coast, close to the Bay of Bengal. On the East Coast, Kazhuveli is a globally significant wetland.
