Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced a reward of $1 million to anyone who can reliably understand the Indus Valley script.
Chief Minister MK Stalin noted the similarities of Tamil and Indus civilisation in practices such as burial of the dead, taming of bulls and black-red pottery.
The establishment of a Chair in the name of Iravatam Mahadevan at the Roja Muthiah Research Library for research on the Indus Valley Civilization and annual awards for scholars in the field of archaeology were announced.
