  • Aadi Perukku is also known as Pathinettam Perukku. This festival is an auspicious festival to honor the monsoon season and the fertility of the soil.
  • It is considered the ideal time to sow, plant seeds and take up other forms of vegetation. It is to pay tribute to the monsoon rains which fill the rivers.
