The Taliban declared that all foreign currency would be prohibited in Afghanistan.
All citizens, shopkeepers, traders, businessmen, and the general public are instructed by the Islamic Emirate (Taliban) to conduct all transactions in Afghanis and strictly refrain from using foreign currency.
