India’s para-athletics star Sumit Antil has further cemented his legacy by winning his third consecutive F64 javelin throw gold at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. Battling severe shoulder pain, Antil set a new championship record with a throw of 71.37 meters, surpassing his previous mark of 70.83 meters set in 2023. This victory marks his third world title after wins in 2023 (Paris) and 2024 (Kobe) and his sixth consecutive gold in major para-athletics events.
