India's 27-year-old para powerlifter Sudhir clinched gold medal in the men's heavyweight category, taking India's medal tally at CWG 2022 to 20.
He defeated Nigeria's Ikechukwu Obichukwu by 0.9 points as his final score read a Games record 134.5 points for the gold.
It is India's first-ever gold medal in para powerlifting in the history of CWG.
Sudhir had a best lift of 212 kg and he finished with 134.5 points in the final, setting a CWG record.
So far, India have won 20 medals, which include 6 Gold, 7 Silver, and 7 Bronze.
