Sri Lanka's telecommunications regulator has issued a license to SpaceX's satellite unit, Elon Musk's Starlink, to provide satellite broadband services to the country.
Sri Lanka's parliament passed a new telecommunications bill last month (July 2024), which amended the law for the first time in 28 years and paved the way for Starlink Lanka's entry into the country.
