  • SpiceJet chief Ajay Singh has taken over as President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). 
  • Singh replaces Renew Chairman & CEO Sumant Sinha, who completed his tenure as the industry body's President on 28 March. 
  • Sanjay Nayar, the Founder and Chairman of Sorin Investment Fund is the new Senior Vice-President of ASSOCHAM.
  • Singh is also the President of the Boxing Federation of India and Vice President of the International Boxing Association.
  • The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)is a non-governmental trade association and advocacy group based in New Delhi, India. 
  • The organisation represents the interests of trade and commerce in India, and acts as an interface between issues and initiatives.
