Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat unveiled a "meticulously restored" railway coach symbolizing Mahatma Gandhi's famous rail journeys.
This coach is a symbol of the famous rail journeys of Mahatma Gandhi, who played an important role in his mission to unite the country during the freedom struggle.
The coloured brown coach has the symbol 'III' inscribed on it, indicating the third class coaches in which he travelled. It has been installed at Gandhi Darshan at Rajghat here.
A life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi has been installed at its feet, depicting him getting down from the bus.
This initiative has been taken by the Ministry of Culture.
