SpaceX's Polaris Dawn mission, launching on August 26, 2024, will be the first private spacewalk, marking a significant milestone in commercial space exploration.
The mission, led by billionaire Jared Isaacman, includes a crew of four—Scott "Kidd" Poteet, Sarah Gillis, and Anna Menon—and is scheduled for a five-day duration.
The mission will test new spacesuits during a 2-hour spacewalk and will use a Falcon 9 rocket and the Crew Dragon capsule, Resilience, for its third flight.
