  • The Sinhalese translation of the Jataka tales was launched in Colombo on February 12, 2025, during the Navam Poya Day, with the release of comic books based on Amar Chitra Katha by Venerable Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkhita and the Deputy High Commissioner of India, Satyanjal Pandey.
  • Several initiatives have been taken to strengthen the historical and cultural ties between India and Sri Lanka, including the establishment of an Indian gallery at the International Buddhist Museum in Kandy and the restoration of the Thiruketheeswaram temple in Mannar.
