Shri Sandeep Pondrik assumed charge as Secretary, Ministry of Steel at Udyog Bhawan here today. He is a 1993 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre.
Shri Pondrik was working as Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Industries in the Government of Bihar and held additional charge of several other posts as well. Prior to this, he has also served as Advisor in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
