Shri Prabhat Kumar (IFS:1991), presently Special Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of South Africa.
He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar recently said there is a very “deeply emotional” connection between India, South Africa.
Dr Irshad Ahmad, presently Counsellor in the Embassy of India, Muscat, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Syrian Arab Republic.
