Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur announced the opening of a Regional Facilitation Office of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in Chandigarh with an aim to make it easier for filmmakers from the region to do business.
Meaningful changes have been made in the Cinematograph Act to take strict action against piracy, and special nodal officers are being appointed at Film Certification Board centers so that more effective action can be taken in preventing piracy.
