  • Public enterprises selection board (PESB) has recommended Mr. Shantanu Roy for the post of Chairman and Managing Director of 'Schedule 'A' Company under the Ministry of Defence, BEML Limited.
  • Currently, he is serving as the Director (Mining & Construction Business) in the same company.
  • PESB interviewed two others in the selection meeting including Anil Jerath, Director (Finance), BEML Limited, and Sanjay Som, Executive Director, BEML Limited.
  • Prior to his elevation he was Executive Director and was responsible for International Business Division, Strategy & New initiatives, Coordination and Northern region operations.
  • Roy is presently serving as Director (Mining & Construction Business) in the same organization and has over 30 years of extensive experience in capital goods sectors for defense, mining & construction, transportation, transmission, renewable, and large power projects.
  • He also has an MBA in Financial Management.
