  • Amid a surge in trading scams, India registered approximately 7,000 cyber-related complaints daily, with over 100,000 investment scam cases reported in 2023 and significant financial losses in 2024.
  • In the first four months of 2024, Indians lost Rs 1,760 crore to cybercriminals, including Rs 1,420 crore from trading scams, Rs 222 crore from investment scams, and Rs 13.23 crore from dating app frauds.
