  • The first Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to acclaimed Hungarian film director Istvan Szabo and American filmmaker and actor Martin Scorsese at the 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
  • Istvan Szabo is a critically acclaimed Hungarian film director. He is well-known for works such as Mephisto (1981) and Father (1966). Martin Scorsese is a major figure of the New Hollywood era, widely regarded as one of film history's greatest and most influential directors.
  • IFFI will be inviting large OTT players to participate in the festival for the first time. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Zee5, Voot, and Sony Liv are among them.
