State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest lender, will revise its Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) charges starting August 15. While branch-based IMPS transfers remain unaffected, online transactions above ₹25,000 will now incur nominal charges. Transfers between ₹25,000 and ₹1 lakh will cost ₹2, transactions from ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh will cost ₹6, and those from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh will cost ₹10 — all excluding GST.
