Samia Suluhu Hassan is the President of Tanzania.
Samia Suluhu Hassan is on an official visit to India.
Recently he has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
President Hassan was given this honor for his important role in strengthening India-Tanzania relations, promoting economic diplomacy and achieving success in regional integration and multilateralism.
This is the first award given to Dr. Hasan by a foreign university.
Tanzania is a country in the African continent.
Its capital is Dodoma.
