Recently the tenth phase of Sagar Parikrama has been started by the Central Government.
The tenth phase of Sagar Parikrama was started from Chennai.
This phase has been launched by Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala.
During this, issues and suggestions of fishermen will be ascertained and they will be given information about government schemes.
They will also be made aware about Indian territorial waters, territorial waters and use of GPS.
So far 9 stages of Sagar Parikrama have been completed.
In these 9 phases, a distance of 4125 km has been covered across 9 states/union territories.
The first phase of Sagar Parikrama started from Goa Mandvi on March 5, 2022.
