The Indian cricket team, under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, began their campaign at the 9th ICC T20 World Cup with a decisive 8-wicket win against Ireland.
Jasprit Bumrah's outstanding bowling figures of 2 for 6 earned him the 'Man of the Match' award.
Rohit Sharma, known as the "Hitman," made history by becoming the first cricketer to hit 600 sixes in international cricket.
Additionally, he is the first Indian and the second player globally, after Chris Gayle, to hit 100 sixes in ICC white-ball tournaments (T20 and ODI).
Rohit Sharma joined an elite group by scoring over 4000 runs in T20I cricket, alongside Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
He also amassed 1015 runs in T20 World Cups, joining Virat Kohli and Mahela Jayawardene in the 1000-run club for the tournament.
