Rohit Sharma has been named India's new T20 captain, succeeding Virat Kohli.
The right-handed batsman Rohit Sharma, known for his hard-hitting, made his national team debut in 2007, playing limited-overs cricket before joining the Test team in 2013.
Rohit Sharma also led the Mumbai Indians to five Indian Premier League (IPL) championships.
Rohit Sharma has appeared in 116 T20 internationals, scoring 3029 runs and averaging more than 32. He has scored 9205 runs in 227 One-Day Internationals and 3047 runs in 43 Test matches for an average of nearly 47.
