  • In November 2023, the World Health Organization and the Ministry of AYUSH have signed the Traditional and Complementary Medicine 'Project Collaborative Agreement'.
  • The first phase of the agreement will prove instrumental in the global development of traditional and complementary medical care systems.
  • Its main objective is to integrate aspects like standardization, quality and safety of traditional and complementary medical systems with the national health system and to disseminate them at the international level.
  • The agreement is part of the Traditional Medicine Global Strategy 2025 to 2034.
  • This agreement was held in Geneva, Switzerland.
