Recently Vinay M. Tonse has been appointed as the Managing Director of State Bank of India.
His appointment was made by the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet.
Before his appointment, Vinay was the Deputy Managing Director of SBI.
Vinay's tenure as Managing Director will be till November 2025.
His appointment was recommended by the Bureau of Financial Services Institutions.
Vinay M. Tonse will replace Swaminathan Janaki Raman.
Swaminathan Janaki Raman has been appointed as the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
State Bank of India has a Chairman and four Managing Directors.
Dinesh Kumar Khara is currently the Chairman of SBI.
