Prithvi Raj Singh Oberoi was the country's top hotelier.
He passed away recently in New Delhi.
He was known as 'Biki' in the hotel world.
EIH Ltd., the flagship company of Oberoi Group. It owns the Oberoi and Trident hotel chains.
He was born in February, 1929 in New Delhi.
He served as the chairman of the company from 1988 to May 2022.
Oberoi was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in the year 2008.
Oberoi was also awarded the 'Corporate Hotelier of the World' award by Hotels (Magazine) USA.
He was also honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the 6th International Hotels Investment Forum in Berlin.
Apart from this, he also received awards like Businessman of the Year, Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
