  • The resolution aims to 'protect civilians and uphold legal and humanitarian obligations' in Gaza.
  • This proposal was approved by 120 votes against 14.
  • 45 countries remained absent from the voting of this proposal.
  • India also abstained from voting.
  • The adoption of the resolution will begin providing immediate, adequate and unhindered access to vital goods and services to citizens throughout the Gaza Strip.

  • It is known that there is a war going on between Israel and Hamas since October 7.
  • In this war, the Israeli Defense Force is continuously taking action to eliminate Hamas from the Gaza Strip.
