Indian Air Force has successfully tested the air version of BrahMos missile in the Bay of Bengal.
This test was conducted by Indian Air Force's fighter aircraft Sukhoi-30 MKI.
BrahMos destroyed Taget with precise aim.
This is the second aerial version test of BrahMos.
BrahMos missile is a supersonic missile.
It has been jointly constructed by India and Russia.
Earlier its range was 290 km.
The range of the upgraded version of the missile has been increased from the original 290 km to more than 350 km.
Its speed is 2.8 Mach.
Testing of hypersonic BrahMos missile is proposed in the year 2024.
