Recently it has successfully tested India's first satellite-based gigabit internet service.
Satellite Internet works just like satellite TV.
It starts with an Internet service provider sending a satellite into Earth's orbit.
Delivering high-speed satellite Internet involves constellations of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites.
LEO satellites orbit at an altitude of 250 to 2000 kilometers above the Earth.
This technology was unveiled by Jio at the India Mobile Congress.
