  • The country's first rapid train (RAPIDX) was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on 20 October.
  • This is the country's first rapid rail.
  • This rapid rail will run on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor.
  • This rapid rail will run on 17 km track of this corridor.
  • This Rapidex train has been named 'Namo Bharat'.
  • After the first phase, this project will be extended from Duhai to Meerut.
  • In the second phase it will be expanded to South Meerut.
  • In the third phase, work will be completed between Sahibabad and Delhi.
  • In the year 2025, Rapid Rail will be seen running between Delhi and Meerut.
  • The rapid train has been designed to run at a speed of 180 km per hour.
  • Currently Namo Bharat will be operated from Sahibabad to Duhai depot.
