The Government of Karnataka has recently announced the launch of Dr. Puneet Rajkumar Hriday Jyoti Yojana.
This scheme will be implemented across the state on hub and spoke model.
This scheme has been started with the aim of dealing with the increasing cases of heart attack among the youth and providing timely treatment.
Its objective is to save as many lives as possible in case of heart attack and also to ensure that treatment is provided during the 'golden hour'.
The first hour after a heart attack is called the 'golden hour'.
Puneeth Rajkumar is an actor from Karnataka.
He has been awarded Karnataka Ratna.
This scheme has been started in his name.
