  • India STEM Conference was organized in New Delhi in October, 2023.
  • STEM stands for – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
  • This was the fifth edition of the India STEM Conference.
  • The conference was inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
  • Through this conference, development of curiosity, inquisitiveness, critical thinking, problem solving ability, imagination, questioning and exploration skills were induced among the learners.
  • India has the highest number of students obtaining graduate degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects.
