  • This standard is guided by government regulations.
  • India has now become one of the top countries that produce reference fuel.
  • This fuel is used for testing automobiles.
  • This fuel has been developed indigenously by Indian Oil Corporation.
  • Its development will ensure reliable fuel supply at very low cost to vehicle manufacturers and testing agencies.
  • Till now only 3 agencies in the world produce reference fuel.
