Ganga Utsav was organized in New Delhi in November, 2023.

This festival was organized by National Mission for Clean Ganga.
Ashok Kumar, Director General of National Mission for Clean Ganga, inaugurated the festival.
Ganga Pustak Parikrama was started in this festival.
This parikrama will run from November 7, 2023 to January 11, 2024.
This parikrama will pass through cities like Uttarkashi, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Bijnor, Meerut, Aligarh, Farrukhabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Chhapra, Patna, Begusarai, Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, Sahibganj, Baharampur, Kolkata and Haldia etc.
The celebrations of Ganga Utsav 2023 also saw the release of the 33rd edition of Namami Gange magazine.
In the year 2008, Ganga was declared the national river of India.
National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) was established in the year 2011.
