Former President of Finland Martti Ahtisaari passed away in October 2023.
He was the 10th President of Finland.
He served as the President of Finland between 1994 and 2000.
He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in the year 2008.
The award was presented to him for his significant efforts over more than three decades – across multiple continents and resolving international conflicts.
He was known around the world for his work bringing peace to conflict zones in Kosovo, Indonesia and Northern Ireland.
