Delhi International Airport Limited has launched the Sunflower Program in November, 2023.
This program has been started for invisible disabilities.
This program will ensure easy mobility to people with invisible disabilities.
Under this program, facilities of sunflower lanyards, pin badge and wristband will be provided.
Sunflower merchandise will be available at the helpdesk and information counters located within the terminals.
By wearing a sunflower lanyard, pin, or wristband, individuals with an invisible disability can easily represent themselves.
Can explain their needs to the airport staff, who will approach them sympathetically and provide necessary assistance.
With a globally developed framework, all tools and partners through this program are adapted to people with invisible disabilities.
An invisible disability is a physical, mental or neurological condition that is not visible externally.
Still may limit or challenge a person's movements, senses, or gestures.
Invisible Disability Week is observed every year from 15 to 21 October.
