Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body for the welfare of consumers and creating competition in the market.
Recently the Competition Commission of India has become a member of the International Competition Network (ICN).
CCI was incorporated at the International Competition Network meeting held in Barcelona, Spain.
This membership of CCI is for 2 years.
The ICN comprises 140 competition regulatory agencies from 130 countries.
It provides an exclusive but informal venue for competition authorities to maintain regular contact and address practical competition-related concerns.
The International Competition Network was established in the year 2001.
