'Boita Bandana Ceremony' is a type of boat worship.
Recently this ceremony was organized at Paradip, Odisha.
The President attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
It was organized by Paradip Port Authority.
President Murmu is the first President to visit Paradip Port after its construction.
This annual festival is held on Kartik Purnima, which is celebrated on the full moon day in the holy month of Kartik.
It usually falls in the month of October or November.
The Boita Bandana is a cultural nod to Odisha's ancient maritime activities and trade relations with South-East Asian countries.
