India and Italy signed an MoU in November to facilitate the movement of workers, students and professionals.
This agreement was made during the visit of Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to Italy.
The agreement was signed by Dr S Jaishankar and Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.
This agreement will enable seamless movement of workers, students and professionals and will also address the challenges of illegal migration.
Apart from this, both the countries agreed that the potential in agricultural technology, innovation, space, defense and digital sectors should be exploited.
The two leaders also discussed in detail the situation in West Asia, the Ukraine conflict and the Indo-Pacific region.
Italy is a country in Southern Europe.
Its capital is Rome.
