Recently a new species of mushroom has been discovered in the Western Ghats.
This discovery was made by scientists of Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanical Garden and Research Institute.
Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanical Garden and Research Institute is located in Kerala.
This new mushroom has been named 'Candolemyces albo squamosus'.
The new species belongs to the genus Candoleomyces, a small genus with only 35 recognized species globally.
