  • In December 2023, 1500 people made a Guinness World Record by playing tabla simultaneously in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
  • This program of tabla playing was done in the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar.
  • On this occasion, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh announced that 25th December will be celebrated as 'Tabla Day'.
  • The 'Tabla Darbar' festival program was organized at Karna Mahal of Gwalior Fort.
  • A three-member team from the Guinness Book of World Records was present to monitor and record the 'Tabla Darbar' performance at Gwalior Fort.
  • This concert was part of the 'Tansen Samaroh' music festival held annually in Gwalior.
  • Gwalior has been named as the 'Creative City of Music'.
