  • Rasabali sweets is a food product of Odisha.
  • Recently this food product was developed by G. I. tag has been provided.
  • Rasabali sweets originate from the old Baladevji temple located in Kendrapada town.
  • It consists of deep-fried flat red brown patties of cheese dipped in condensed milk.
  • Rasbali is one of the main offerings of the temple.
  • In the year 2021, Kendrapara Rasabali Makers Association and Rural Infrastructure Development and Employment had applied to get GI tag for Rasabali.
  • With the receipt of GI tag, people involved in the sweet business will now get better prices.
  • Also, this sweet will no longer be adulterated in any way.
