The Reserve Bank of India released the bi-monthly monetary policy in October, 2023.
There has been no adjustment in the repo rate in this monetary policy.
The repo rate remains unchanged at 6.50%.
The fixed deposit facility is kept at 6.25% and the marginal standing facility is kept at 6.75%.
According to RBI, the GDP growth rate for the year 2023-24 is estimated to be 6.5%.
R.B.I. Monetary policy is announced by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
There are a total of 6 members in this committee.
The committee is chaired by the RBI Governor.
