  • The Reserve Bank of India released the bi-monthly monetary policy in October, 2023.
  • There has been no adjustment in the repo rate in this monetary policy.
  • The repo rate remains unchanged at 6.50%.
  • The fixed deposit facility is kept at 6.25% and the marginal standing facility is kept at 6.75%.
  • According to RBI, the GDP growth rate for the year 2023-24 is estimated to be 6.5%.
  • R.B.I. Monetary policy is announced by the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
  • There are a total of 6 members in this committee.
  • The committee is chaired by the RBI Governor.
