  • Indian star shuttler and two-time Olympic champion PV Sindhu has won the women's singles title at the Syed Modi International Badminton Tournament.
  • At the Babu Banarasi Indoor Stadium, top-seed Sindhu defeated Malvika Bansod 21-13, 21-16 in the summit clash.
  • This is former world champion PV Sindhu's second Syed Modi International Badminton tournament title after she featured in the BWF World Tour Super 300 event in 2017.
  • In the mixed doubles, the pair of Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto of India won the title. In the final, they defeated the pair of T Hema Nagendra and Sri Veda 21-16, 21-12.
