Banwarilal Purohit resigns as Punjab Governor.
A few days ago, he suggested holding a session of Parliament in the 'winter capital' in Tamil Nadu.
Purohit had served as the Governor of Tamil Nadu from 2017 to 2021.
He made the suggestion during the Chandigarh Tamil Sangam event, which took place during the Pongal festival.
