  • 1993 batch IFS officer Harsh Kumar Jain was appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Ukraine. Presently, he is serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry and is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
  • Harsh Jain also served as a member of the United Nations Group of Government Experts on Developments in Information and Telecommunications under International Security in the year 2012-13.
  • Harsh Jain previously served as Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Slovakia.
  • With a population of over 40 million and an area of about 600,000 km, Ukraine is one of the largest countries in Europe. India has extensive bilateral relations with Ukraine in all areas of cooperation.
