Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu, also known as Okha-Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge, on February 25.
With a total length of 2.32 kilometres, Sudarshan Setu is now India's longest cable-based bridge. The bridge spans the distance between Okha mainland and Bayt Dwarka in Gujarat.
Sudarshan Setu is India's longest cable-stayed bridge and features solar panels on its footpaths, generating one megawatt of electricity.
The bridge, built at a cost of ₹978 crore, has four lanes and 2.50-meter-wide footpaths on each side.
It holds immense significance for pilgrims visiting the revered Dwarkadhish Temple and is adorned with verses from the Bhagavad Gita and images of Lord Krishna.
