President Droupadi Murmu has presented the President's Colour to INS Dronacharya in Kerala's Kochi.
The President’s Colour, also called Nishaan, is the highest honour bestowed on a military unit for its exceptional service to the nation.
Prez Murmu was also received at INS Dronacharya in Fort Kochi by a 150-men Guard of Honour and a 21-gun salute.
The Nishaan was placed on the pile of drums at INS Dronacharya and consecrated by four religious teachers of the army before the President awarded it.
The Nishaan was received by ‘Nishaan Adhikari’ Lt Cdr Deepak Skaria at the ceremony on behalf of INS Dronacharya.
