  • President Droupadi Murmu has presented the President's Colour to INS Dronacharya in Kerala's Kochi.
  • The President’s Colour, also called Nishaan, is the highest honour bestowed on a military unit for its exceptional service to the nation.
  • Prez Murmu was also received at INS Dronacharya in Fort Kochi by a 150-men Guard of Honour and a 21-gun salute.
  • The Nishaan was placed on the pile of drums at INS Dronacharya and consecrated by four religious teachers of the army before the President awarded it. 
  • The Nishaan was received by ‘Nishaan Adhikari’ Lt Cdr Deepak Skaria at the ceremony on behalf of INS Dronacharya.
