  • President Ram Nath Kovind has inaugurated the famous Sri Ramana Kali temple in Dhaka of Bangladesh, which was demolished by the Pakistani army 50 years ago.
  • The temple was entirely destroyed by the Pakistani Army during the 1971 war in an operation nicknamed 'Operation Searchlight.'
  • The Pakistani army set fire to the shrine, killing numerous people including devotees and those who lived there.
  • The Ramna Kali Bari is a well-known Dhaka landmark where a Kali temple stood for generations.
